Marketing Consultant - Luxury Outdoor Saunas

Podhaus is a Cape Town-based designer and manufacturer of premium outdoor saunas, eco-cabins, and modular tiny homes across the Western Cape. Khaya Spas is a division of Podhaus, focusing on saunas, outdoor showers and cold plunges. We combine luxury design, wellness, craftsmanship, and outdoor living into one exceptional product experience.

We are looking for a confident, design-conscious, relationship-driven Marketing Consultant to help grow our luxury sauna division in Cape Town and across the Western Cape.

Package

Base Salary: TBC

Commission: inclusive commission structure

Experience Required

  • Minimum 3–5 years marketing experience

  • Proven track record in high-value or premium product sales

  • Experience in one or more of the following is highly advantageous

    • Luxury products

    • Outdoor lifestyle products

    • Eco-tourism products, Wellness, spa, architecture, or interior-related industries

    • Experience in design

About the Role

This is not a high-volume retail sales role. We are looking for someone who can market a luxury product in a competitive environment, build trust with clients and confidently guide customers through a considered purchase process.

You will be selling bespoke luxury outdoor saunas to homeowners, eco-tourism operators, guestlodges, and wellness spaces. There is an opportunity to build long term partnerships with landscapers, garden designers and pool manufacturers to build our client portfolio. 

The role is 70% marketing/sales and 30% operational.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing

  • Manage social media presence and relevance

  • Design and implement general marketing campaigns

  • Help grow the Khaya Spas brand presence through networking, partnerships and expos

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the product range and wellness market

  • Keep our website and brand relevant and dynamic

Sales

  • Manage inbound sales enquiries from website, social media, and referrals

  • Conduct showroom visits and client consultations

  • Build strong relationships with architects, landscapers, designers, and hospitality clients

  • Guide clients through design options, upgrades, and customisation choices

  • Prepare quotations and follow up on leads professionally

  • Work closely with the design and production teams to ensure smooth client experiences

Operations

  • Support the procurement of materials for sauna production

  • Build brand growth in a dynamic and competitive wellness market 

  • Manage the logistics of events and meetings showcasing our products

Ideal Candidate

  • Well presented and professional

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Passionate about design, wellness, or outdoor living

  • Self-motivated and target-driven

  • Comfortable working with high-end clientele

  • Holds a valid driver’s licence

Bonus Points

  • Experience selling products above R100,000

  • Existing network in hospitality, architecture, wellness, or property development

  • Interest in sauna culture, wellness, or eco-luxury living
