Qualifications & Skills – Production Manager (Light Steel Framing, Scottsdale Systems)
Qualifications:
Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in light steel framing production or a similar manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in the Scottsdale System, including machine operation, software, and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of light steel frame construction methods, materials, and industry standards (e.g., SANS 517, NHBRC, etc.).
Knowledge of CAD software (e.g., Scottsdale TrueBuild, AutoCAD, FrameCAD, or similar).
Skills & Competencies:
Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with Scottsdale roll-forming machines, steel fabrication, and frame assembly.
Production Planning: Ability to oversee scheduling, workflow management, and resource allocation for optimal efficiency.
Quality Control: Ensure precision manufacturing with minimal waste and compliance with structural specifications.
Process Optimization: Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve productivity and reduce costs.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Strong problem-solving skills to address machine faults, software issues, and operational challenges.
Health & Safety Compliance: Knowledge of OSHA, workplace safety, and maintenance protocols for a secure work environment.
Leadership & Team Management: Experience managing a team of machine operators, assemblers, and production staff.
Communication & Collaboration: Ability to coordinate with engineering, sales, procurement, and site teams to meet project deadlines.
Data & Reporting: Proficiency in production tracking, performance reporting, and inventory management.
